Refund & Subscription Cancellation Policy

PrepMDCAT is free for every Pakistani student. Our Premium tier helps cover server and AI costs. If Premium doesn't work for you, here's exactly how refunds and cancellations work — short, honest and fair.

The short version

Three rules in plain English

Within 2 days

Raised a refund ticket from inside the app, used the app for less than 2 days? Refund approved within 7 days.

After 2 days

Used the app for more than 2 days after subscribing? No refund will be granted, regardless of reason.

iOS users

You can cancel your subscription anytime through Apple. Refunds on iOS are handled by Apple directly via Report a Problem.

1. Who is eligible for a refund?

You qualify for a refund only if all three green conditions are met and none of the three red conditions apply.

You raised the refund request within 2 days of purchase

Measured from the moment your payment was confirmed by Google Play or Apple, not from the day you downloaded the app.

You opened a refund ticket from inside the PrepMDCAT app

Use Settings → Help & Support → Request Refund. Tickets opened by email or social DMs are routed back to the in-app system.

Your account shows minimal premium-feature usage

Our admins check the activity log. Limited exploration of premium content is fine; sustained or heavy use disqualifies the request.

You have used the app for more than 2 days after subscribing

Once you have used the app for 2+ days after subscribing, no refund will be granted. This protects against content-scraping abuse.

Heavy use of premium features (mock tests, AI Tutor, Voice Tutor)

If our admin sees you have already consumed significant premium content — full mocks, large numbers of AI Tutor turns, voice tutoring sessions — the refund will be declined regardless of timing.

Refund requested outside the in-app ticket system

Refund requests submitted only through Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram or other channels are not processed. Always raise a ticket from inside the app.

2. Android — How to raise a refund ticket

Android refunds are processed by the PrepMDCAT admin team through Google Play Billing. Follow these six steps inside the app.

  1. 1

Open the PrepMDCAT app on your Android device.

  2. 2

Go to Settings → Help & Support → Request Refund.

  3. 3

Pick "Subscription Refund" and briefly describe why you want a refund.

  4. 4

Submit. You will receive a ticket ID in the app and at your registered email.

  5. 5

Our admin reviews your account activity within 7 calendar days.

  6. 6

If eligible, the refund is issued back through Google Play Billing — funds usually appear in your original payment method 3–10 days after Google approves on our end.

Important: Refunds raised only via WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram or email — without an in-app ticket — are not processed. Our admin needs your activity log, which is only attached automatically when you submit from inside the app.

3. iOS — How to cancel or request a refund

On iPhone and iPad, all subscriptions are owned by Apple. PrepMDCAT cannot directly issue an App Store refund. You can cancel anytime, and you can request a refund through Apple's Report a Problem page.

  1. 1

On your iPhone / iPad, open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (or open the App Store → tap your profile → Subscriptions).

  2. 2

    Tap "PrepMDCAT".

  3. 3

Choose "Cancel Subscription". Your access continues until the end of the current billing period — Apple does not pro-rate.

  4. 4

If you also want a refund on a recent purchase, use Apple's Report a Problem page: https://reportaproblem.apple.com — refund decisions on the App Store are made entirely by Apple, not by PrepMDCAT.

  5. 5

You may also raise an in-app ticket so we can support your request with usage logs if Apple asks for evidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the refund window only 2 days, not 7?

The 2-day window applies to your in-app usage limit. The administrative review & payout window is up to 7 days. So you must request the refund within 2 days of subscribing, and the money will land in your account within 7 days of approval. This protects PrepMDCAT from content-scraping abuse — a user who has already studied for a week, taken several mocks and finished many AI Tutor sessions has consumed real value.

What counts as 'used the app for 2 days'?

Two days are counted as 48 hours of usage after the time of subscription purchase. Even brief sessions on day 1 and day 2 count as 2 days. Sessions exclusively on free-tier features do not count, but anything you accessed under Premium does.

Can iOS users get a refund through PrepMDCAT directly?

No. All App Store subscriptions and refunds on iOS are owned by Apple. PrepMDCAT cannot push a refund through iTunes or Apple Pay. You must request the refund through reportaproblem.apple.com. We will, however, support your case by providing usage logs if Apple asks. Raise an in-app ticket so we know to back you up.

What if I bought through JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank transfer (not the app stores)?

Direct purchases (JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank transfer) follow the same 2-day usage rule. Raise an in-app ticket, our admin verifies activity, and the refund is processed to your original payment method within 7 working days.

I subscribed by accident. Can I still get a refund?

Yes — if it has been less than 2 days and you have not used premium features. Raise an in-app ticket immediately, mention that it was an accidental subscription, and our team will process the refund within 7 days.

What happens to my account after a refund?

Your Premium access is revoked immediately on refund approval. Your free-tier account, MCQ history, weak-topic logs and saved flashcards remain intact — you can keep using PrepMDCAT for free without any restrictions on free features.

Will I be charged again at renewal if I just cancel?

No. Cancelling stops future charges. Your current period of access continues until the end of the billing cycle you already paid for, after which the subscription will not auto-renew. To cancel: Android — Play Store → Subscriptions → PrepMDCAT → Cancel. iOS — Apple ID → Subscriptions → PrepMDCAT → Cancel.

How long does the refund take to appear in my account?

After our admin approves your refund (within 7 calendar days of your ticket), the refund is initiated immediately. Bank credits typically appear within 3–10 working days depending on your bank or card issuer. Google Play and Apple may add a further 1–2 days at their end.

Still have questions about a refund?

Raise a ticket from inside the app — it's the only channel that attaches your activity log automatically. If you can't open the app for some reason, email info@micoders.com with your subscription receipt.
